Nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir au lycée Bréquigny Jean-Michel Gédiran, directeur du Signe – Centre national du graphisme à Chaumont, pour un temps d’échange avec nos étudiant·es.
À travers son parcours, il nous a présenté l’histoire et le rôle du Signe, ainsi que les grandes missions qui structurent aujourd’hui ce centre d’art dédié au design graphique : création, transmission des savoirs, médiation et diffusion.
Une rencontre précieuse pour mieux comprendre la place d’une institution culturelle consacrée au graphisme, ses engagements et la manière dont elle contribue à faire vivre, partager et transmettre la culture du design graphique.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Jean-Michel Gédiran, Director of Le Signe – National Centre for Graphic Design in Chaumont, to Lycée Bréquigny for a talk with our students.
Drawing on his own professional journey, he introduced us to the history and role of Le Signe, as well as the key missions that shape this art centre dedicated to graphic design: creation, knowledge sharing, mediation and dissemination.
A valuable opportunity to better understand the role of a cultural institution devoted to graphic design, its commitments, and the ways in which it helps promote, share and transmit graphic design culture.
